Hello and welcome.
I am a state licensed professional counselor with years of
experience working with people of all ages struggling with poor
health, low energy, pain of arthritis, inflamed joints, failing
eyesight, loneliness, grief, and many other challenging conditions.
I am also a woman struggling with her own limitations.
What people seem to appreciate most after talking with me, is
the experience of being respected, accepted, understood and
validated. So many times, when we are in pain, people try to help
or save us with solutions. We find ourselves running in all kinds
of directions, looking for answers based on other people's feelings
of helplessness.
Most often, what we truly need and find relief from, is someone
to accept us and believe in us without trying to fix us or change
us. Someone who will be completely present to us as unique and
precious human beings.
Have you ever had the experience of being completey validated .
. . even when in pain? There is something wonderfully healing about
this experience . . . to rest in the arms of unconditional
acceptance.

to help you remember, in the darkest of hours, that you are not
alone. Sometimes it's easier to feel and express your vulnerability
to an unseen stranger. So often we remain stoic for those we love.
